Anthony DeMonte comes to the NASCAR Grand National Division, Busch North Series from the world of professional sports car racing. Starting in EMRA (Eastern Motor Racing Association), where he won the STGT class championship, he switched to the professional SCCA World Challenge Series in 1999 and ran three of those races. He made three more World Challenge races in 2000, with a best finish of 16th at Lowe's Motor Speedway driving a Ford Mustang.

In addition to World Challenge, DeMonte has also raced in Speedvision GT at Texas and Sebring.

Switching to oval track racing, DeMonte started in a Late Model at Riverhead Raceway on Long Island, qualifying for every feature he attempted.

DeMonte made his Busch North debut in 2003 at Watkins Glen International, and shared the DeMonte Motorsports No. 38 Chevrolet with Tracy Gordon in an effort to get the team up to speed with the new cars, new tracks, and new drivers on the series. DeMonte returned to the series in 2004 to run Lime Rock Park, posting an impressive fourth-best practice time. Qualifying was cancelled and he had to start in the back, and was making up ground when he hit the kill switch and lost four laps on the track before he could get a tow to the pits to have the problem corrected.

Anthony Demonte is an experienced driver at the pinnacle of his racing career. His experience as a special task force officer with the NYPD has trained him to be the very best. His mental strength and physical endurance help him to withstand the physical challenges of this sport.
